5 Fandom Friday - Christmas wishlish 2016

This weeks prompt was christmas songs, but as I did that last week I decided to pick one from previous years. You’re probably thinking, hey, didn’t you just post your wish list? Well, my holiday wishes list is a general one and this, this is the super duper fandom edition!   Books! So my to read list is always growing and I’m pretty sure will never end, which I’m ok with. However, there are a few books on my wish list that I really want to read ASAP. Poison Fruit by Jacqueline Carey – She is one of my favourite authors but the libraries rarelyRead More →

Monthly Goals December 2016

Novembers goals really helped me keep myself on a better schedule so I’m hoping this will do the same for December too! Commenting I managed to squeeze some comments in this month and I need to keep it up now that my blog scheduling is under control again.   Dissertation Prep January marks the official  start of my dissertation after having the last four months off to rest and heal. Christmas Wishes 2016

For several years now I’ve taken part in the livejournal community Holiday Wishes. To sum it up quickly; it’s a place where you post your wishes, and others post theirs and you help each other out by doing what you can. It can be a very stressful month in many ways and 2016 has been an awful year in many respects. So hop on over to Holiday Wishes to read the rules and check out other people’s lists and makeRead More →

Sharing Saturday: Alternate Advent Calendars - Miscellaneous

I love advent calendars, however, opening little doors just for a tiny bit of chocolate isn’t as appealing as it once was. I’ve been doing online advent calendars (I’ll introduce you to some at the beginning of December when they open!) for several years now, and last year I came across beauty advent calendars! This year I kept an eye out, found several different beauty ones as well as some other alternative advent calendars. So over the next few weeks I’m going to be posting the best ones I can find, starting with food and drink calendars and last weeks Beauty calendars. This weekRead More →

Sharing Saturday: Spooky Halloween reads

I was wondering what to do for a Halloween themed Sharing Saturday, and after yesterday’s Fandom 5 I realised I should do one for spooky reads to watch. Not everyone wants to or is able to go out trick or treating/celebrating Halloween, so if you’re one for staying inside here are some spooky/creepy reads to get you in the mood!   Late Victorian Gothic Tales Good Reads   /   Amazon The Victorian fin de siecle has many associations: the era of Decadence, The Yellow Book, the New Woman, the scandalous Oscar Wilde, the Empire on which the sun never set. This heady brew wasRead More →
