Dragon’s Apocalypse [Warrior] #TransmogTuesday

Dragon's Apocalypse #TransmogTuesday

Whenever Trial of Style comes around there’s one category I hope doesn’t come up: ‘Tabards’. For some reason I just completely forget they exist, that I can and should be using them in my transmog outfits and I get terribly flustered whenever that one comes up. I decided to challenge myself this week and based on the colour combination of red and purple I chose this one: [wowhead id=31781]. There’s only one item that makes this a warrior set and that’s the belt [wowhead id=119778] (and it’s equivalents) but if you found another belt you were happy with it would be doable for all plate wearers.

About #TransmogTuesday

Every Tuesday is #TransmogTuesday and I’ll be posting with a new creation. My main is a discipline priest called Kaelea, so I do tend to edge towards cloth transmogs more than anything else. The aim of this project is to push my own boundaries, to get creative and work on some themes and ideas I’d normally not consider. That means I’m open to suggestions! Themes, colours, a transmog set around a particular item? Let me know 🙂

You can see my pre-existing work over at Wowhead where I’ll also be uploaded any and all sets. ((Texture used in banner is from Wandering-Soul Stox.))

Over To You

What do you think of my first tabard based transmog? Do you use tabards in your transmogs? Got a tabard to challenge me with for my next one? Let me know in the comments, as always I’d love to hear from you 🙂

Blood Arrow [Hunter] #TransmogTuesday

Blood Arrow #TransmogTuesday

To try and diversify my transmogs a bit I made a list and a tally of all my sets so far, and hunters were one of the one’s I’ve been neglecting. So it took some work, and many attempts to come up with something workable for this transmog before I finally finished Blood Arrow. The annoying thing is that it has these amazing legs [wowhead id=47228]  with a fabulous unique design – too unique because NOTHING matches them. I spent ages trying to find boots and a belt to match and in the end I had to hold off my need for perfection because such a match just didn’t exist. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

Blood Arrow

Unfortunately as the Model Viewer is currently in beta stage it’s a little buggy with a few things, and although Void Elf models work (yey!) I couldn’t get the eye-patch to actually work. So thanks to Wowhead again for this full image from their Dressing Room to show the outfit with the eye patch as intended:

How to Style Ruby, July’s Birthstone

The Birthstone series will be exploring the world of birth stones and creating a pinterest mood board filled with style ideas related to that month’s birthstone and related colours. There will be women’s fashion, jewellery, make up, accessories, colour palettes and some home decor items thrown in too. This series will be posted on the third Saturday of every month.

So… it’s August and this is the birthstone for July… yep I’m running a bit behind. I hope to have Peridot up next weekend so I should be back on track for one birthstone a month again!

Ruby is one of two red birthstones I’ll be looking at in this series, so I had to differentiate between it and Garnet. For styling ruby I went with warmer tones; poppy red, warm oranges and yellows. There’s some darker tones of red as well to represent the darker hues of rubies, however, generally anything burgundy I’ll be saving for garnet in January 😉

What do you think; is ruby  a birthstone you think you could style? I’ve always been partial to red and never been afraid to wear it, but I know for some people it can be a bit overwhelming. Do you think you would go all out in one of the ruby dresses or would you be more subtle and add a touch of red with some accessories?

I hope you’ve found something you like in this post, and if not there’s plenty more on the pinterest board! I’ll be adding a few more things to the board from time to time so don’t forget to follow it. If you have something you think I should add, especially if it’s something you’ve created let me know!
